Disney

Snow White. Cinderella. All about saving a precious beautiful lady. Looking strong and being adored by the lady. Now there's Shrek. All about saving a beautiful lady.

So basically we (men) are screwed up because of...

Problem is no match

It seems like everybody around me is having at least one kind of problems at this point of time - Sharp, 11.00pm, 29th of Oct year 2007. It proves nothing but one very significant truth: everybody (including me) thinks that life should be without problems and when there's no problem then our life is perfect.

If life is without problems then how are we going to know when it's perfect? How we know something is perfect if we don't know its flaw?

Hmm... fairly perplexing.
That's why I stopped wondering why cartoon characters never have armpit hair since I was 9.

(-_-) ?

Ok. It's all about QQ who called me just now. She's been down because of the stress she's facing right now - that's it, "pressure before marriage". I don't really know what kinda problems or situation she's overcoming, but they sure are too overwhelming for someone who's of happy-go-lucky sort.

Seriously, my secret fear is that my future wife can't get along with my parents (o_0) or that I can't get along with my monstermother-in-law.

[Ok, i'm taking this kinda too far]

So...
the point is, she is having problems, and you're having problems, and everybody's having problems. Arghhh~~~

But no, Mr Problem, you can't get me that easily.
*Smiling proudly*

You know why?

Coz my imagination is damn GOOD ok. It's just too good that I can make myself laugh without any external stimuli :D
[To Jo in my office who likes to watch jokes and then laugh out too loud like there's no tomorrow: YOU'RE NOT EVEN CLOSE lo]

Soon the small bacterias on my office PC keyboard will start to have conversation:

Bacteria Alpha: "Hey you see that guy called Max a... siao one you know. He..."

Even before Alpha continues, Bacteria Beta immediately replies: "I DONO. why?"

Alpha: "Aiks... I haven't finished yet ok... Listen! You see... Sometimes after lunch break, that stupid Max will look at the keyboard without doing anything. I mean, he'd look at it, and then start grinning at the keyboard for about 3 minutes, and he'd just... just... just do NOTHING ELSE! But I don't see anything funny on the keyboard keys we are standing on right now, though."

Beta: "Yahor? I think... Maybe... he can see us?"

Alpha: "Oh SHIT! That's so damn not good! I guess you're right!!! NO GOOD. We have to move tomorrow! No, I mean, RIGHT NOW! Quick Quick! Quickly go and alarm everybody! We're under attack!! GO GO GO damnit !!!"

Beta: "Oh yes! You're certainly right and not too much! I shall go now or else Max will come with a bottle of Dettol tomorrow to kill us all! OH my god! I can feel it! I can feel it!! I'm damn feeling it!"

And so the bacterias are packing right now. Hopefully my keyboard will be glowing and super shiny by the time I reach my office tomorrow.

BUAHAHAHAHAH!!!

Hwang Jiny

I watched an episode of Korean historical drama Hwang Jiny on the TV just now.

I always wonder how those ancient people thousand years ago do their hair, especially those who can make their hair to look like this:

korean

A giant snail shell on the head.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (o_0)

Hmm... they must have already invented some kinda super strong wax during that time.

Exam questions a tad too hard

Juan just after her English subject exam, and she excitedly showed me the question paper. She wanted me to check her answers so that she could roughly know how much she's going to get this time. Too bad she couldn't get 100% correct because I think she made some mistake in the some sections and so I've corrected her with my own set of answer.

Here are some of my answers:

Look at the picture carefully. Choose the best sentence to fit the situation in each picture.

lesson2

lesson3

Personally I think the questions are quite tough. All options seems possible to me.

What?
You don't think so?!

WHY?!
Doctor cannot draw picture on your back is it?
I cannot call to fire brigade and make friend with firefighters who I think are quite cool is it?
I cannot be happy when something I don't like die or disappear is it?
.
.
.

*laughing viciously in front of a TV*

p.s.: We are crazy.

p.p.s:-
Juan: "I think I'm going to call hospital to make friend with doctors because i think they are smart!"

To run or not to run?

Imagine if you're a prisoner sentenced to die. And you're only 2 months away from your deadline.
You got to know a new friend in the prison. And you and your new friend got very close after then. Soon you discovered that your friend was planning for an escape with an outsider. And you asked your new friend to bring you along. Your friend agreed, but then unfortunately there's another new friend called Molly heard about the plan as well. He wasn't sentenced to die, but he wanted to see his dying wife so badly that he threatened you guys if you guys don't bring him along as well, he'd go and reveal your plan to the officers in the prison immediately. You and your friend have got not choice but agreed reluctantly.

On the day you guys escaped, you noticed that Molly didn't tagged along. You guys couldn't give too much of a damn to him as time was running out and there's already a slack in the schedule. And so you guys decided to move on and eventually you guys were outside of the jail.

As you guys were happily celebrating the success at the other side of the prison's wall, the alarm in the prison cried viciously. You realised something wasn't right as you heard a voice coming out from the speakers of the jail - it was the chief officer, Mr Dulbe, who's known for his violent and fierce nature.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!! You wanna run ha? Hahaha! Hear this dammit!"

Following his voice was the painful crying of Molly. At that moment you knew Molly was in Mr Dulbe hands, and Mr Dulbe was torturing Molly brutally with his famous inhuman methods.

"IF YOU RUN AWAY, YOUR FRIEND WILL GO STRAIGHT DOWN TO HELL!!!!! GET IT!!!!!!"

It's time for a decision: If you run away, Molly would die, and he's not supposed to die since he's not sentenced to die, and your life would cost his life; If you don't run away, you'd die, and you'd have no chance to escape again.

Cakes? Nice. Let's do it

In short, today wasn't a good day -_-

But, when I went home and I saw these:

A lone cheese cake
Small Cheese Cakes

...I told myself that:

"You have to believe that it works... or it's going to work. If you think
back and replay your year, if it doesn't bring you tears either of joy or
sadness, consider it's wasted. Look at these cakes, and be a man. Take that
thought to bed with you at night even if you're going to bed alone. Sometimes
when you hold out for everything, you walk away with nothing."

Antique Jacket - I like :D

I looked inside those old cupboards again and I found this damn cool antique:

Not cool? Check this out:

Apparently that's the kinda coat worn in army.

Great :D

How much I've changed?

Holly molly ~

Don't know what's going on with me. I just can't get enough of antiques. Digging into old cupboards seems to be my current hobby.

It all started with a discussion titled "See how much you've changed" in the IcySummer forum I recently joined.

Some people told me that my face has changed a lot, but some people said my face just looks the same and that, ahem, I have a baby face. [Is that a compliment for a guy? hmm...]

... and so I posted some pictures in the forum :P

What do you think?

Song that's hard to come across

Recently I'm into an anime called Jigoku Shoujo, which means "Hell Girl" in English. I kinda like it very much. The drawing of the girl at the ending is just aesthetically pleasing.

Try youtube if you're interested.

There's also a very interesting song featured in the series. Personally I think it's rare to come across this kinda song:

Sakura Uta

Ok. Maybe it's a little creepy :P But I find it especially calming and smoothing at night :)

Memorial Book for Goodbye Primary Schoolmates

It's really surprising that I found this small little book today.

It's a book that I gave my primary schoolmates and teachers to sign their names and to write some messages on it before we graduated. It's like a memorial book, and it was like a tradition at that time.

I wonder if kids nowadays still do this kinda stuff.

Anyway, it's a miracle that I still have it with me. I remember I flung it somewhere and I couldn't find it. I thought I wouldn't be able to see it again.
But then it suddenly appeared nicely on my book shelf just now.

Wonderful :D

I decided to digitise it. In case the book goes for vacation again... :)

Too bad I've lost contact with almost all of them. Sad, isn't it?

p.s.: I think I still remember their faces :P

How I blog, and how you blog

Never really heeded my style of blogging. But I think I'm a lil bit of this and that. Guess I've got no style or whatsoever :P

Maybe I should try Detractor Blogging. But that one need some kinda passionate [wow... passionate] hatred towards something, and I don't think I have any negative emotions recently. I don't get pissed off easily though.

How about... Guest Blogging?
Aha, that'll do the trick! How bout you? Be my guest? *wink wink*

Hmm...

Anyway, recently I've gone through some situations which make me understand why some people like to watch funny flicks when they're down or when they're just... not happy [not happy doesn't mean sad. It can be 'moderate'. You get what I mean?].

Yesterday, I was crawling through the old CDs and DVDs in the drawer to search for a flick that I thought could make my day. I actually got inspired to do that by those scenes I've seen in many movies - the poor protagonist (who happens to be let down by the whole world) sits on his/her own bed, holding a super big bowl of popcorn or ice-cream while watching funny drama or comedy like Little Stuart or something similar to forcefully make themselves laugh in the hope of getting rid of the blues.

I realised it wasn't easy for me to do something like that after I've seriously concluded that my house is a place full of horror, violence and dullness - action movies, horror flicks, Hong Kong dramas, super old-school Taiwanese dramas and etc. It's either you-name-it-I-don't-get-it or I-name-it-you-never-heard-of-it sort of collection (-_-)

Things didn't go well, until I found Legally Blonde 2, and I watched it.

*kua kua kua*

Don't laugh or smirk please. My sister went crazy when she saw me watching that teeny girly flick on my bed. It's like a last choice lo hao-bu-hao?...

But hey, it kinda worked though :)
The flick is funny, and it's meaningful in some ways. The most important message is that you shouldn't go with the flow when you know you need to go against it, because you know you're right.

Now that's an important piece of message and advice that we can't get to practice everyday. Maybe not even in our everyday reality.

For someone who has been wearing all pink regardless of the time and the settings since young, she sure is a brave one (o_0)
[the phrase "against all the odds" just suddenly came to my mind everytime I saw her wearing all pink. Don't know why. Weird.]

Kuala Selangor Laman Budaya & Port

It was a long journey started off with a spicy breakfast.

Laman Budaya - Cultural Park

The park is full of these monkeys. Trust me, they are not adorable at all. They like to pass motion openly in the public and on the tree (-_-)
I saved my cousin's head by warning her of the goo coming down from the top. But too bad, I couldn't save my own shoes (-_-) damnit

Kuala Selangor Port is a place for everything related to fish and seafood, e.g. fish balls.

Seafood snacks are everywhere, too.
My baby cousin couldn't resist them, coz they are just too cute.

p.s.: I've just created a FAQ page for this blog. I think it might come in handy for new visitors. Don't you think so?

Proactive

Me and some of my ex-classmates are now closer than before we graduated. It's really wonderful to see gatherings keep coming up and people who I didn't really know suddenly become warmer.

Don't know what actually happened, but it's just wonderful. Probably it's because we've learned to appreciate friendship after going through a few months of tragedic/dramatic/tiring changes in life. I guess all of them have already secured themselves with jobs.

I wonder if there are still gatherings after 10 years. (o_o)?

My uncle said we won't be having any gathering anymore after we've started to build our own family. This friendship thingy will start to fade along with time.

I think that's true. But who cares? The most important thing is what we have right now, right?

Speaking of gathering... if you were to attend one, would you be sticking only with your own gang or would you go around mixing with those ex-classmates you're not familiar with and not close?

A few days ago i attended one, and there were some ex-classmates who I was not very close with [I have my own gang you know]. Well actually we just became close since a few days ago through MSN. So when they arrived, it happened that their gang wasn't in, and nobody seems to entertain them. I could feel the embarrassment and i actually plan to go talking to them. But, well... I was so stuck with my own gang and I really didn't know how to... i mean, how to "get to them" since we have already so accustomed with our own usual social grouping. Lucky enough, 2 of the so-called main hosts went to sit and talk to them in the end and so things didn't turn out too awkward.

Have you ever stuck in a situation like this?

I got in contact with one of them after a few days, and to my suprise, they actually felt really embarrassed at that moment, and they even planned to leave the gathering before the food was being served. And I was among the said "disheartening" persons for being cold or unfriendly. And that made them felt unwelcomed.

Seriously I really didn't expect people would get so upset for that.

I'm feeling kinda sorry and bad.
Don't you?

Even though we are not very close, but I think I should have taken the initiative.
I'll keep that in check.

Hmmm...

Engaged? Really?

QQ just called me and said she and her bf have just engaged yesterday, and they are going to marry in next year 8th of March.

(o_0)?

Ya i know she told me about that last month. Well... even though the whole "marriage" thing is no longer too far for people around my age, my head still got a lil bang when QQ told me she has decided to sign the paper.

It's like... telling me that I'm not young anymore, and that QQ is able to make babies with a guy already (o.0)! [QQ is just like my big sister, and a sister is hardly a "woman" in the eyes of her brother]

Anyway, it's really good to see things are going on well. Everybody's settling down with a partner.

So...

Tasty Pot's Soy Steambot

soya-steambot might sounds "ewww..." But in fact, it's quite ok.
As far as I can remember, the things I cooked in the soya soup still tasted like how they were supposed to be when cooked in ordinary steambot soup.

I wonder if chocolate fondue's boiling chocolate is really lumpy and thick. If it is, then this soya soup sure isn't even close [steambot is not fondue anyway... opps -_-].
But i think i like the soya-curry soup :P

I shall try the fondue one day :D

iPod Nano 3rd Generation | It's the "C" that matters

Yay!
I just bought one for my sister :)
Maybe it's a tad expensive (RM619), but it's simply gorgeous and mobile.
Its integration with iTunes is the part that I like the most, because iTunes manages everything for me and I don't need to copy files manually into the iPod. I just hate manual stuffs -_-

Problemo? Yes, and maybe it's a yet-to-be fixed bug or something.
At first I couldn't update iPod software using iTunes, and when I was trying to do that, the iPod actually went HANG - yes i mean, HANG [a small piece of machine like this also can get HANG? so weird hor? 10 years from now, I could see myself standing next to my washing machine pushing the reset button vigorously because it hang suddenly and my clothes got stuck inside -_- ]

I reset the iPod for a few times but then things still remain the same until I found out that there's actually an issue regarding the mapping of iPod Nano in Windows. iPod Nano won't work correctly if it's mapped with drive letter "C" - the default drive letter for system/boot drive for Windows. Unfortunately my system drive letter is E, and whenever iPod is connected to my PC, my iPod is automatically assigned with letter "C" -_-

Right now my iPod nano works fine, and that's after I've manually assigned its drive letter to "X".

Wasted me half a day to merely re-install iTunes, restarting and plugging iPod in and out and searching online -_-

p.s.: no p.s. :)

Miracle. Chipster.

Recently I was so into this Chipster voting contest that I actually spammed everybody around me through every possible channel e.g. IM, email, friendster bulletin to get myself as many votes as possible. And I got so excited for a good 5 days.

http://www.chipster.com.my
Page 2, number 19, Max.

Ahem, apparently some people get more than 5 thousands votes -_- *coughing*
Who on earth would believe that?

And for your information, my current number of votes is 322 -_-

And because of that dubious 5000 figure, I got all panicked [my macbook is flying away ok] and I started to "reinforced" my power - I spammed more and more people! I IM those who've voted for me almost everyday in the hope of growing my number of votes from the same pool of human force.

Initially, my close competitor was this contestant named abnerd, but then suddenly this dono-who Alicia just popped out of nowhere with a starting votes of 1500 something!

"People now got like 5000 votes le! How to fight wo?"

As the light I've been seeing since 5 days ago starting to fade, a friend of my told me this: -

Hey... I wanna ask you to stop asking other people to vote la. You could never beat them......

My heart immediately dropped out from my mouth onto my keyboard. And i was having a hard time putting it back to place :(

It's disappointing :(

It's disappointing :(

It's disappointing not because my friend asked me to stop.
But it's disappointing when somebody comes and knocks our head and asks us to face the reality that we are not as competent or that we are losing :( or that we're creating troubles for others.

Sigh~

I thought of discontinuing my effort.

Do you believe in miracle?

Her name is Linlin, not SitePal per se [perhaps Linlin SitePal]

It's really fun to listen to other people telling jokes instead of you telling them
I've just met with Linlin, and I have to tell you that she's got enough sense of humour to make my day. [You really have to respect her because not much people can do that :D]
For you information, she's a Caucasian who can speak Mandarin fluently.

Maybe you should met her in person?
I think that's a great idea :D

p.s. : She certainly is very open-minded.

Warning: I think you shouldn't bring along your kids when you go meeting her. Kekeke [18SX]

Why everybody's wearing Calvin Klein underwear?
Is there really something comfortable about wearing underwear with somebody else's name on it?

Chipster, Chipster & Chipster! Voting, Voting & Voting!

I know you must be a kind-hearted pretty lady / prince charming / nasi lemak + pisang goreng seller / hot mommy / sexy daddy / nerdy geek / super intelligent professor / workaholic / (my) cute colleague / mr postman / film director / (my) Boss / (or just) my blog reader!!!!

Please please please! Please do me a favor!

Please go to http://www.chipster.com.my/ to vote for me! :D
Once you're on that site, go to "Nothings Else Matters Contest" -> "View Gallery & Vote" -> page 2 and look for number 19 with my nickname "Max" on it. Click on the picture that looks like the picture above and then click "vote" button and you're done!

Thank you SOOOOOOO much~!!!

Why you should vote for me, you ask?

Ok.

Because...

Well ok. Let me tell you something: -

I have one younger brother aged 18, and he's now in hospital because of some serious health condition. He has been liking Apple since a few years back and so i think getting one for him might cheer him up a little. Since Macbook is quite expensive and I can't really afford it right now, so i think it'd be great if I can win this contest. I hope it's not too late for me to get that Macbook for him.

So, please have a lil mercy. Save my brother.
Save my brother before it's too late.

Save him.

Who said I have younger brother?

Ok la sorry. I want that free macbook so badly that i made up the story :D *wink wink*

P.S: You have 1 vote each day. So you can vote everyday! Deadline is on 15th Oct.
