Saw an old mini copper on the street.
Thought of buying one previously, but everybody said it’s going to cost me a bomb just to keep it running. I’ve never bought any bomb in my life le… so I don’t know how much it exactly costs. Heh.
New artwork

I think it looks better in larger file view. Too bad flickr only allows 1024×768.
Finally Bangi has its own Old Town. That’s our Sunday Breakfast spot today. Baby auntie’s spur-of-the-moment candid shot haha…
She said she’s made a terribly wrong mistake in her life: “I should have gone to do video-shooting you know?!?! Ah I’m so talented!!!”. Haha. Zha-dao. Videos taken by iPhone 3G by the way.
My cousin’s doing a small business recently. She’s very good in making paper flowers and sewing small cute fluffy puppets. Something like those toys selling on
dooodolls and
toki-doki. But hers are all very personalized: each toy only has one of its kind. There are no two the same.
Can’t believe she can really do something like that. Amazing… Feel motivated by her already. Hmm…
Part of her toys for sale.
I found this one very cute lo.
Really look like xiu-mai 烧卖, and sometimes look like wan-tan 云吞.
“爱心烧卖”. Must be it.
This one looks better than dooodolls. It’s finely sewn.
Should check her website out if you’re looking for gifts for gf/bf
Coincidentally, found dooodolls in MPH Mid Valley today.
Maybe my cousin can’t fight with dooodolls in terms of branding, but in terms of uniqueness then maybe can win. Haha.
Yasmin Ahmad’s “Talentime” is really great! For me – totally inspiring and touching.
I paid full attention from the very start of the movie till the end. Audiences were made laughing and crying – and sometimes coughing – along the story line.
(Ahem, she did a good job in including controversial and potentially-censored malaysian issues in there.)
It brought back a lot of my memories during high school. Personally, feeling related to the story’s interracial marriage issue – hah, my dad and my mom.
Anyway, this film shows how the contemporary Malaysia is looking like.
Not a fan of her before this, but I did hear about her works a few years back, and now I’m starting to like her. I’d see her as a storyteller more than a director. Going to look for her previous works at movie stores. She’s juuuuust brilliant.
It might not be a grand event, but I’m still very proud of 老妹 for joining UTAR Idol 2009
Though she lost, but she really earned something very valuable for herself. Perhaps, she also set a very important milestone in the history of our family.
Honestly, it’s a very touching moment to see courage emerged in younger generations in our family (like mine) to start doing whatever they wanted to do without being bound to the traditional thinking – or sometimes, “misconception” – as cultivated in our family.
Yes – “Singing can’t really earn money”, “Singing no 出息”, “Artists are all 不正经” – the subjective truths that we the younger generations have been injected with before time. But if there’s a slightest interest in 老妹 for archiving her dream, I’ll be proud and support her in all ways possible. Anyway, there’s no member in our family who can sing in a competition lo.
Sigh. My mei mei is finally a grown-up! Ahaha…
The moments:
Before start.
The friends cum supporters. (Look at that banner – my creation. Paiseh la…)
Family members cum supporters.
The emcees. I think the girl emcee seriously needs some improvements.
Group performance.
I’m supposed to post her performance video here, but 老妹 said later xia soi. Hahaha, not her best performance, I would honestly say.
Prize giving.
The winners.
The event management also produced a recording CD for the participants. Here’s 老妹’s part ripped straight from the CD:
Close to you – Elly Law
Personally I think the quality is a bit
cin-cai lo… ahaha I shouldn’t complain too much.
Have been quite busy attending interviews recently. Oh ya! – also freelance writing
Hope good things can come out of it
(1 word = 1 cent. Is it good? No idea… but I know I should be grateful for getting the opportunity)
My new muse – MAXMAYO Envelope!
Just came out with the idea of printing my logo on envelopes. I use them for keeping my interview documents, and they have been attending all my interviews. Hah, it feels good to spread my identity over my own stuffs. I guess the spectrum of my test subjects is going to grow soon. How about a T-shirt? maybe?
Anyway, the C4-sized pure white envelope doesn’t look nice after the folding because of my funny printer can’t fit C4. Maybe should get a bigger printer somehow.
I don’t know what to do with my messy desktop recently. So I think a home-made wallpaper with the most primitive functions will do the job:
Quote of the day: Some opportunities really worth the waiting.
p.s: Aiya. Videos. Forgotten.
Streamyx has been very very bad recently. It’s making me
!!!!!
WHY STREAMYX SO CHA ONE?? WHY??
Can’t really believe it lo… I’m now writing this from my cousin’s house -
Here’s Malaysia le, not a third world country! *sigh* I’m so going to check out other service providers.
Anyhow, tons of photos from
Pulau Ketam!!
*Pulau Ketam = Crab Island
By looking at the name, I assumed that Pulau Ketam is famous for its big fat crabs. Or maybe the island’s shape looks like a crab? That reminds me of Langkawi’s “Lake of the Pregnant Maiden”.
Malaysian cavemen really geng. Don’t know how they could come out with all these weird naming ideas -__- But hey, I wonder how modern humans nowadays name newfound geographic wonder. iPod Mount? Lake of Obama? Ahaha!!
Ahem. Photos.
Just came back from Pulau Ketam
Tired. And good night.
10.51PM
*That flying pig photo was taken by baby sis. Genius right ahaha!
19th Thursday was 宝贝’s birthday!! Haiz… our xiao bao bei is getting taller and huger AND – more boyish -__-. I know my gift (especially the hairband) would be the last thing on her wish list. But I always hope that she can be a little bit “princessy” e.g. wearing girlie-girlie stuffs and sitting like a fine lady.
FYI, she like to sit with legs wide apart!! So whenever she does that, I’ll give her a stare [-_-] and followed by a shout: “Leng-lui pose, please!!!”, then she’ll obediently shorten the 1-mile distance between her legs and keep her legs crossed.
-__-
I always believe that manner buys respect, not the money; temperament defines your status, not the luxurious brands covering your body. Unmanneredly behaviours are not tolerated in our family. I think Baby sis needs to show some improvements in that department alright.
Just found the materials for building my home-made sign!
Should thank my cousin for her brilliant suggestion:
From what I noticed,
Art Friend really have a lot of stuffs in there. The staff are very helpful and friendly as well. I told them what I want to make and they gave me recommendations of materials. Hah they saved my time. Or life. (time = life? Hmm yes u_u)
Hehe random.
So now the sign is in progress.
Almost there. Huhu~
Just decided to widen the spectrum of my job seeking. Will start trying out companies in Puchong and PJ.
VOILA!
Forget about 20th — my line is now back!!

Teehee!
Forget about the complaints. I think it’s useless to diss Streamyx anyway.
Sigh. A series of unfortunate events, I would say.
On Saturday, the small garden in my house collapsed during a thunderstorm. Reconstruction took place on Sunday under the sun. The skin on my shoulders and nose is still peeling off. Opps, overly tanned.
Welding machine.
The kids got a new pet – Mr Dragonfly. Poor thing.
Random:
Went for an interview today. The interviewer is a very nice women. The whole interview focused on getting to know my personality for the job. Basicallys I was chatting with her like I’m chatting with you. So I guess it should be OK? Should be la since I’m such a good-natured person hehe. The second interview will be more on the job description and my technical skills. Don’t know if I’ll be selected for the second interview.
(According to her, I put too high the expected salary. Will keep that in mind.)
Construction areas reminds me of the phrase “Developing Country”. Come to think of it… I can’t help but get a little annoyed thinking about the fact that Malaysia is still a developing country even after so long. Maybe we need to do something. But other than politicians, who’ve got time to actually think of doing something? Hah. Typical.
Stopped by Mid Valley planning to buy things. The finale for 老妹’s singing competition is on this Sunday, and yet I still haven’t come out with some sort of support signs. Thought of buying some fluorescent light sticks and ready-made signs but have got no idea where to get it.
Any idea?
My designer cousin told me there’s one shop at the Garden selling fluorescent paint. Hmm. Probably can paint a super big banner? Good idea. Clever me.

Stupid computer at the hardware shop is giving me problem again. Haiz… busy again.
TM guy called me when I was on the train just now. Good news is my line will revive by 20th.
I was sleeping when the TM guy called me. So I actually remember only the word “twentieth”, and I was mumbling all the while on the phone. Teehee! So paiseh lo… Don’t know why I’d fall asleep whenever I’m on a train.
Narcolepsy?
*shrug*
I just can’t live without Internet connection.
So you’re now reading a dead people’s writing.
