Happy Birthday to Dennis 大帅哥!!

He’s 26 this year. Not too old, but not too young —

the most perfect level of physical and mental maturity in the timeline of a human’s life, I think.

Mediocre people will be expecting you to have own or have done certain things around the age of 26. Say, a car or a house etc etc. He owns a car already. Probably a house as well, but don’t know. Well well… He certainly is the kind who knows how to find good foods and luxurious vacation spots, so we can rest assured that he’s got some plans and will be doing just fine starts from today.

I don’t know what I’ll become by 26. I’m now almost 24. It’s just 2 years away, you know.

I may look younger than my age now, but I know time is slipping away and my physical age is increasing.

Oh ya, a funny story today! I was walking down Mid Valley KTM station and then this dubious Digi/Celcom guy approached me, trying to sell the sim card and data plan or don’t-know-what promotion in his hand. He asked:

“Are you 18 or are you over 18?”

I looked at him, and threw a very “what?”.

Haiyo, my look still not obvious meh??

ROOARRRRRRRR! I’m freaking 24!!

24 – 18 = 6 years difference!! In 6 years, how many cells in my body have died you know??!!

OK. A little over-reacted.

Relax…

Hmm, I should take it as a compliment. Like what Dennis Da-shuai-ge said, when we’re getting older, we’ll wish to look younger. Hmm.

Ahem, back to the topic.

I don’t think I’d change a lot in 2 years. Don’t really expect to go very far in 2 years. But I did make a promise to myself that something has got to change by the end of this month.

Apparently Samsung Omnia website just released a new update for the phone

You know, I always expect people to release new updates so that my phone can work faster or do more things. The same thing goes to my iMac. I’ll get all excited by just realising the existence of new software updates. It’s like “Wow! My machine is getting better without me paying anything!” that sort of feeling.

Maybe that’s their marketing and CRM plan, and typical consumers like me have no immune to it. How sad. Hehe.

So, I updated my phone, and realised how sucky it was when I was trying to look for the photos I took during Dennis’ Birthday Karaoke session –

Everything is gone.

Photos, contacts, sms-es, my GPS software, 260-page Twilight novel… everything. -__-

There you go… “a time of my life” (Is this a pun? Oh I don’t know…)

So, no photos -__-.

The stupid macbook is finally back

The guy said it’s only because of the startup disk setting. Harddisk is perfectly fine.

Shit -__- Must be 老妹 who didn’t do the DIY rescue steps correctly.

That guy still acting very cold -__-

He finally squeezed one smile when I was trying to be funny.

Maybe working there is really stressful?

But he’s the front line le… Sometimes have to jia-jia be friendly also ma…

As promised, I’ll post it when I got the job. Now that I still haven’t got the job… so anyway…

I know my self-introductory sample sounds a little bimbo-tic. But I guess that’s a style of writing that makes ordinary stuffs sound interesting? Teehee! Bad, bad.

Mika Nakashima’s new song is finally out!

I was so excited the moment I found it.

Faye Wong used to be my favourite songstress, but now it’s Nakashima. Haha… Certain types of love will not last forever.

Notice Mika’s voice in the new song – I think she’s changed her singing style again. Her voice is deeper, rougher. She’s using more falsetto in her singing now. Especially the swing during the chorus.

A lot of black colours, jewelries, diamonds, the heavy make-up, the eyelashes extension, red lips, posh hairstyle — a very sexy retro 007-style video. Many people commented on youtube that she’s way too skinny. Hmm… now that I noticed. Quite true. Maybe she’s on drug or something hehe.

I’m looking for the mp3 now.

From a very wonderful video sent by dennis, I tracked down the creator. And then I found Patrick Hughes.

Patrick Hughes is a film director. I found his works very inspiring. Especially this one:

Apart from the sweet and touching emotions, it also reminded me of how horrible it would be to become just like that guy –

A mediocre office creature…

The very thought of it discouraged me a little. Hope the job I’ll get won’t need me to prepare marker pens and A4 papers. Haha… *sigh*

But imagine a guy answering you:

“I go to office just to see that girl at the opposite building ” or
“I go to work expecting to see that sweet coffer-maker ” or
“Company canteen is serving chocolate donut today. I want to have it, so I go to work today.”

Haha sound very funny and zha-dao right? But sometimes when we have already grown tired of our works, I supposed only our primitive instinct (hunting for food and sexual partner, that is) can motivate us.

So today I also fixed a computer. Somebody’s laptop.

My God… Acer laptop is kind of disappointing. Their “CrystalEye” (very elegantly named, indeed -_-) built-in webcam always give problems. So I guess I still love Apple

Oh ya, I remembered the model: Acer Aspire 4730z.

Should take note if you’re planning to buy laptop.

Can’t believe my sister’s stupid 2-month-old Macbook is dead.

Yes you heard me right – 2 MONTHS, and DEAD!

She kept restarting the macbook, but it kept on showing a folder with a question mark right at the middle of the screen. I asked her to do all those funny funny combination of emergency key-press e.g. Ctrl+Alt+”P”+”R”, or press-and-hold “Alt” right after restarting (man, Apple Engineers are so creative to come out with all those combinations!), but to no avail -

The folder was still there, and now it’s flashing!
Damn macbook is patronising lo!

ROAAARRRRRR!!!

For the first time in my life, I think Apple sucks big time -__-

I always thought macs are indestructible. But obviously I was wrong – it’s just like Windows. Haiya…

*Sigh*

So now the macbook is in kilang, and we’ll be waiting for the Apple guy to ring us once it’s back to normal. But I doubt my sis will be able to see her biotech thesis in the macbook again

Ahem, maybe I think too highly of macs, probably to a degree of delusion already. In actual, they are still normal computers what… and computers can go wrong sometimes, right? Hmm, from now on I shall put them together with windows pc, and stop praising their beauty. Beauty can be deceiving.

Really hope to do something ( e.g.

) to that Machines store guy. He cannot smile one… don’t know why not friendly. Maybe he thought we tortured the macbook. Teehee!

Had lunch at Manhattan Fish Market. It’s sad how the food that looked so delicious 20 minutes ago looked so disgusting later. It’s the food’s portion problem, so we couldn’t finish everything.

老妹: “Can’t finish all le… so wasted. African kids don’t even have enough food lo…”

Me: “It’s ok… I’ve been there. They are not like what we saw on TV. Mind you, they have the nicest steak in the world!”

Hahaha. My imaginative conversation la.

老妹 said it’s expensive.

Reminder to myself: There’s no escargot there.

So we walked around in Mid Valley and saw a promotional booth selling imported Japanese snacks. I saw Meiji. I think it’s a very famous brand. Mika Nakashima advertised for them before.

Meiji Meiji. Not bad~

While waiting restlessly for rings, I decided, and just did something totally random.

Ahem, ahem, it’s writing!

Hey, stop raising your eyebrows okay! Never try, never know.

Of course, not the J.K Rowling-type, but some small article freelance writing jobs.

Supposedly I need to write a sample of article, and then send to the job provider and let him/her see how’s my writing and grammar and all that. So I wrote one, and sent. I was trying to write using Standard English but mind you, it’s more difficult than I thought! Somehow along the lines, I noticed I started to sound like I’m chatting with Abo on MSN. -__-

Tsk tsk… MSN shouldn’t have ruled our world so much.

I bet Mr Job Provider already expected that, so he (haiya just assume that human is a “he” la) stated on the requirement: No SMS Language please. Hmm, good one.

So I edited for quite a number of times.

Will show you what I wrote IF I got the job. IF la. Teehee!
