I saw this very old, but possibly young-spirited men at lunch in Secret Recipe at KL Central. As rare (or maybe peculiar) as it seems, he occupied one of the spacious tables in the café, and was completely focused on doing his “homework”; he was drawing slowly on a small exercise book (those that we used in our primary schools) using his gold-plated pen, referring to another one with the some writings on it.

Couldn’t really see what are the writings, but the thick crook cane lying beside him is quite obvious. He’s quite an old men already.
And then there came one lady and a middle-aged men to him. Seated, they started to talk to the old man while flipping through the old man’s book to examine his writings.
So, I think they are his teachers. The old man is probably learning Chinese writing, because you could tell that it’s not about English as he speaks very eloquently. Or maybe he’s learning French or Spanish. No idea, though I kept peeping him though out. Heh.
But at such an age, I think the time and effort spent will not be able to reach the same level of Courage it takes. Never too late to learn, and never too late to start from scratch again?
I am imagining myself learning yoga at 75. =.=
Salute that old man! =)
So now, for me: Ahem, I think I should finish with my new book. At least, first of all. Hehe.

I bought this book at the gift shop in the hospital this morning. (well, “in the hospital” – you know the “who-how”.)

i told myself to forget about my Twilight e-book, Hehe. I just feel like buying this Paulo Coelho. (Saw “P.S. I Love You” but don’t really like cheesy ones. I watched the film and it’s good though.)

Little lulu amazed by the fresh flowers baskets displayed at shop front, asking me to check them out.

Girls just like flowers I guess. Haha. Regardless of the age.

Today is a very special day.

Happy Birthday, baby :)
Lovely colleagues celebrating with baby.
Tiramisu Cake, a signature classic from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. (I totally left out the “Tea Leaf” part in the past. I thought the name Coffee Bean is really just “Coffee Bean” :P )
It’s my first order deal with them. Very lovely staff. Ehe. Best of all – “3 working days” policy.
Thought of ice-cream cake but Tiramisu is the closely I could get.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, KL Central.
We knocked off on time (I almost typed “early” oh well we hardly knock off on time) for a cup of coffee.
It’s very difficult to capture these photos you know. Heh!

Abo informed that there’s a new Homme line for her BB Cream. So I thought it’s not bad to give it a try, and ordered one, became the first experimental subject.

Partly due to the hype I’ve seen around the product, and mostly because of my human nature to wanting to look good without actually putting in some real effort* =P
*Real effort as in getting enough sleep, properly and regular work out, properly cleaning face day and night, eating healthy food, avoid stress etc etc. Hmm… they don’t really sound even practical for everybody. Heh.
But I know some guys don’t even care about it. Not 爱美 like me. AHA! But I want to look good to feel more confident, and if not too demanding – I want people around me e.g. baby to feel confident of me, so she can show me to anybody without have to worry about fixing my physical appearance first. Hehe!
Not necessary, but still =)
I guess sometimes making yourself look good isn’t just about for yourself but for the people around you. No?
Chinese Old saying: “Beauty is the wisdom of women. Wisdom is the beauty of men.”
Scientifically,
Assumption:
Beauty = Wisdom/Women
Wisdom = Beauty/Men
Thus,
Beauty x Women = Wisdom
Wisdom x Men = Beauty
Conclusion:
Women = Wisdom/Beauty
Men = Beauty/Wisdom
So, Women is the Wisdom of Beauty, and Men is the Beauty of Wisdom?
Forget it. =_=
Under the magnifier: A 24-year-old guy without proper facial treatment + lifestyle.
That makes a good “BEFORE” picture. Ahem. A “BEFORE” picture should look bad anyway. Hehe.
Happy Father’s Day: Dad’s is having a very low profile,
not like Grandpa who likes to cut cake and take photos.
And we have 3 cakes this year. Yay.
P.S.: Granny is still not doing well. Hmm… gloomy.
P.S.S.: Thank you for being understanding. Don’t think I can stay upbeat without you. I’m a lucky guy. =)

We went Raffles City and some other places which I’ve forgotten the names. Seriously, Singapore is so full of shopping centres. And apparently sales is going on there.
It’s a fun and memorable trip, as it’s a chance for spending some quality time with my new colleagues. =)
That’s all for now. Good night.

Today is my birthday. And I’m now 24.

The surprise lunch and cupcakes made me happy in the afternoon. Thank you for everything, baby. :) I didn’t make a wish, as I just realised you’re all I’ve ever wanted as a gift.
(Ye… it rhymes!)
Many friends wished me on facebook. Really surprised to get all the Happy Birthday wall posts. I don’t think I received this much greetings last year. (Or I actually didn’t even bother to check and reply?)
Heh. If not because of the people around me (and the gifts, maybe? :P ), I don’t think I’d even celebrate my birthday. For me, it’s just a normal day. And I actually get a little nervous when people are singing birthday song and waiting for me to make wish and to blow the cake and all that.
Ahem, still need some time getting used to celebrating my own birthday, though it’s not the first time.
That reminds me of the cologne last year. Hehe. Hugo Boss. See, I still remember :)
(Of course I remember. I use it everyday hehe.)
Granny is back from hospital today. Still not doing very good. Burned a hole in the bank account (albeit not mine), and now we have a maid in the house. Bigger, the hole.
And every now and then I’ll imagine myself at the age of 76, damn sitting in front of my Mac blogging about the closest person in my life. And damn I got myself saying: “That has to be my maid Kakak.”
Horrible.
Maybe I and Granny need some time to get used to having a maid at home.
Sometimes I wish there’s a time for everything, and money to cover everything by myself. Heh. Responsibility is not about taking over everything, but when you’re in that position, you’d wish to take everything over by yourself. Maybe it’s not my responsibility, but I don’t think it’s somebody else’s responsibility either.
Note: Time management involving family, friends & baby. Not easy.
Life is tough. I should have known that. But it’s also with good moments :)
But, at 24, I think my life is complete, with what most 24-year-old guys should have encountered. Huh, I’m really getting older.
One of the signs of passing youth is the birth of a sense of fellowship with other human beings as we take our place among them
- Virginia Woolf
Right.
