Stay in the desert

Oct 31 2009 12:46 pm Published by Sir Mayo under quotes

“Why do you live in the desert?”

“Because I can’t be what I want to be. When I begin to be myself, people treat me with a reverence that’s false. When I am true to my faith, then they begin to doubt. They all believe they are holier than I, but they pretend they are sinners, afraid to insult my solitude…

“Your problem isn’t trying to be who you are, but accepting others the way they are. And acting in this way, it’s better to stay in the desert,” said the gentleman, walking off.

Polydactyly

Oct 30 2009 1:25 am Published by Sir Mayo under general

Today, on the train, I saw a guy with 6 fingers on his right hand. He is the third one I’ve seen in my life. (Coincidence?)

I’m imagining the Malay girl sharing the same handle/pool with him and me, accidentally grabbed on his sixth finger -
Malay Girl (pondering): “Eh siapa punya jari ni? Panjang-nye kukunya…
Me (replying, telepathically): “Oh… Encik ini punya.
Malay Girl (secretly screaming): “ALAMAK!!!!

No Ofense – HAHAHA!

Ok. Crazy Friday =)

Naming Chinese Baby

Oct 28 2009 3:23 pm Published by Sir Mayo under event, home

It’s not easy to name a Chinese baby; I had to refer to the 50-year-old Chinese dictionary in my house.

“The name has to have a wood with fire. Or maybe earth with a little water.”

Gosh.

We even have to worry about baby’s future school teachers not being able to spell and type the name in the class attendance list.

Oh well…

Lightweight

Oct 26 2009 12:59 am Published by Sir Mayo under thoughts

I’m feeling light this morning.
Was it because of not bringing my steel thermal mug?

Or was it a sign of something finally left my heart and off my shoulder?

MstSgt: “Squad leader! Are you good to go?”
SquadLeader: “My squad is in formation. We are good to go, Top!”

Stuck in 80’s

Oct 24 2009 2:54 pm Published by Sir Mayo under toys

It’s year 2009 but it’s rather unfortunate for my video gaming skill to still stuck in 80’s. Computer games and Play Stations bore me because I always game-over in just a few minutes – Shame on me. A computer programmer for you. :P

So I managed to dig this old toy out:

Awesome!

This old console is a loooot easier to handle than all of those.

Sir Mayo is Up

Oct 20 2009 5:36 pm Published by Sir Mayo under event

The new blog skin is finally up, and Sir Mayo is alive!

Times and brain juice were vastly consumed in these few days of holidays and I want to say that I’m adequately satisfied with the result. =)

It’d be the first blog template produced from a rather proper planning. My style for managing this diary have always been unstructured and kind of a lazy one, and I call that “a patching style”. (That is exactly how the tar roads at my place is being managed – “Patch Work.”)

Life is back on track now and I believe I have more to share.
No rush. Have a nice dream.

We have a new baby

Oct 18 2009 4:39 pm Published by Sir Mayo under event, home

A new baby just arrived! He’s Princess Lulu’s brother. His lips are as red as rose, can you see?
This boy is definitely going to grow up as a handsome gentleman. I’m feeling very honoured her mom asked me to think of a name for him.

Oh I just couldn’t stop sniffing at him while I was holding him – he smells so milky! Babies smell the best in the world, thus the conclusion.

Ben Sharkey

Oct 14 2009 4:30 pm Published by Sir Mayo under music

Introducing Ben Sharkey:

It’s just so random. I found him on youtube. He’s a full-time 3D animator, a painter, and probably a recording singer by now. (Talented guy!)
Love the vibe he’s radiating – confident, yet shy, not cocky – and that’s what makes him looks not like one of those who are obsessed with themselves on youtube. Most importantly – he really can sing! He sounds very very smooth…

Really wish I can sing like him one day. And all the best to Ben =)
