Compaq Presario abruptly shut off and won't turn back on? SOLUTION

God damn it! I've just found the solution by myself!

So, the solution is to reseat the Memory Module by just taking out the Memory Module on the underside of my laptop [which only cost me effort of opening one screw], and then place it back again???

Gosh. I wonder if it's that simple (-_-)
But it did work anyway. My laptop has resurrected! :D

But still... Why they just can't make the laptops better so that we don't have to do those stupid steps?

I wonder why they always want us to do stupid things (-_-)
And I think only stupid people can figure out those stupid things lo

But since I found the solution by myself without google and asking around, it means that I'm actually quite stupid that I can figure out those stupid solutions

Ok. Let me tell you how I actually found it out:

I was trying to start my laptop again just now, hoping that it could miraclely come back to life. But then again, too bad, NO LUCK at that. So I thought there's nothing much that I could do, except to open up my laptop to see what's going on inside. Well, seriously I've never opened up any laptop before, but I guess it'd bring no harm if things turn ugly since my laptop's already dead anyway [cutting a corpse is not considered as killing, right?] So I got myself a screwdriver to start my autopsy.

I flipped over my laptop to its underside, and then I realised that there's actually quite a lot of screws. Being a lazy person myself (-_-) I got fed up right away, and eventually I decided to open the part with the least number of screws. And that part was the memory cover of the laptop, which only requires me to open one screw. So I opened the memory cover and took out the 2 pieces of memory modules, or the so-called RAM sticks.

Not knowing what to do with the sticks, I looked at them for a good 2 minutes before I finally decided to put them back again [so funny hor~]. And still not knowing what to do after that, I came out with an idea of starting my laptop with only one stick, because I thought it must be interesting to see how people operate with only half of their brain. So I ma took out one of the sticks again, and pressed the power button. To my surprise, it started!! And voila voila voila!!

So basically that's how the story ends :)
I wonder how many people solved this problem by coincident just like me.

p.s.: Conclusion - Stupid people are luckier :D

Solution for iPod Nano 3rd Gen Hang Problem

Dear Udayan,

Glad to hear from you :D
I'm surprised to realise that there's quite a number of people out there who have the same problem as mine. So here's how I solved my iPod's problem:

  1. Firstly, plug you iPod to your computer, and remember, DON'T open your iTunes. Go to "My Computer" and make sure your iPod appears in it as a removable drive.

In my case, my iPod is assigned with drive letter "C"

  2. Go to "Start" Menu, right-click on "My Computer" menu item and look for "Manage" and then click on it.

  3. A program called "Computer Management" will be opened. Click on "Disk Management" and you'll see your iPod listed in the Volume list.

  4. Right-click on your iPod in the list, and click "Change Drive Letter and Paths..."

  5. A dialog will prompt up right after. You select your iPod default drive letter [as assigned automatically by the computer] and click "Change..." button.

  6. A new dialog will appear to ask for a new driver letter. Just select any drive letter [except letter C and other letters already exist in your computer].

I select X for my iPod [You know, I tend to get as far as I can from the things that I know can cause problems. Haha. Human nature?]

  7. A confirmation dialog will prompt out. Just click "Yes".

  8. Now, just eject your iPod and then plug it to your computer again. You iPod will be assigned the letter you specified just now.

Voila!

Now you can run iTunes to test it out.
p.s.: hopefully my solution can solve your problem :) *fingers crossed*
